Finding just the right price range for a European vacation can be quite challenging. Sometimes you might come across a good deal, but most of the time you get what you pay for, leaving you with bad memories. Fortunately, Europe is packed with cities that are affordable, offering incredible scenery and plenty of attractions for travelers on a budget.

Here are three unique European cities for the budget traveler.

Istanbul, Turkey
This lively and exciting world metropolis can be experienced for under $50 per day. Istanbul is an old city, offering visitors a variety of unique types of tourist attractions. It actually sits on two continents (Europe and Asia), where you can view the remains of numerous ancient civilizations and their cultures in relation with Turkish customs. For a unique look into Istanbul's culture and society, free sightseeing walks are recommended. Walking the historic neighborhoods offers the visitor access to a variety of restaurants, markets and bars. You can always relax your feet at a sidewalk cafe and sip Turkish tea or coffee. Don't forget to sample some Turkish dishes at one of the city's outstanding restaurants. "The important to budget travel is to approach onward. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the reality of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our thoughts. Arranging and expending our travel budget carefully is a priority for most families. Lowering consuming and fees, while still taking pleasure in your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievement and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning behind saving money while vacationing is simple: Even if your personal funds is highly tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, whether on a finances or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel charge!..". Many of Istanbul's top attractions such as Topkap Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, are located in Sultanahmet. Istanbul's Grand Bazaar is only a 12 to 15-minute walk or short tram ride west of Sultanahmet down the old Roman road known as Divan Yolu.

Krakow, Poland
Krakow, Poland's second largest city is one of the most fascinating places to travel to. It is also one of the least expensive cities to visit. There is plenty to see and do in Krakow; from visiting century-old landmarks, browsing beautiful works of art and specialty antiques. The 14th century market square is one of Europe's most impressive and largest open squares. You could spend an entire day exploring the castle, cathedral, museums and underground sanctuaries that make up Wawel Hill. The castle features a cathedral with its blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles and contains the tombs of Poland's royal dynasties. A dragon's den, a cave beneath the castle and a fire-breathing replica will keep visitors on their toes. Most of the city's points of interest are centered in and around the Stare Miasto (the Old Town). Krakow has no shortage of places to eat, drink and be merry. The city features a number of restaurants offering local cuisine in a variety of dishes. Some of the finer restaurants are located at the Krakow Botanical Gardens, Florianska Gate, and nearby Wawel Castle. A few of the favorite restaurants serving Polish dishes include Batory at the Krakow Botanical Gardens, Panorama and Royal close to Wawel Castle.

Budapest, Hungary
Budapest is a travelers dream; a city that is affordable, exciting with plenty to see and do. The city is made up of two sides, Buda and Pest, stretching out along the banks of the Danube, representing two unique characters of the city. With an abundance of old historic buildings and a vibrant atmosphere, visitors will find this city a delight. The city is home to the largest thermal water system in the world, the first Underground Railroad on the European continent and the largest synagogue in Europe. Budapest has a wide variety of attractions that include museums, monuments and palaces. Buda and the historic castle district offer visitors historic streets and houses, museums, caves and Roman ruins. The vibrant Pest side features the largest parliament building in Europe, riverside promenades, flea markets, bookstores, antique stores and a variety of cafs. Most of the restaurants provide a combination of Hungarian and international cuisine and are required to show their prices outside the entrance.
