Just when you thought flying couldn't feel any more like being herded into a cattle car comes the news that the new Boeing 737-800 jets made for American Airlines have twelve additional seats in the same size cabin. Delta and Continental ordered planes with 10 additional seats.
I'm a smaller than average traveler and I get close to hyperventilating when the person in front of me reclines their seat. So what's a 6'4", 240 lb. guy to do?
1) Check airlines with more legroom first. The important to budget travel is to plan ahead. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new spots we have never been before, the reality of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our thoughts. Arranging and expending our travel budget properly is a consideration for most families. Reducing consuming and expenses, while still savoring your vacation to its fullest, is the key to certain success and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thinking regarding economizing money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal finances is extremely tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, regardless of whether on a budget or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel bill!. Who are they? Jet Blue (34 inches), Frontier (33 inches), Southwest (32-33 inches), Alaska (32 inches) and Virgin America (32 inches).
2) Check SeatGuru.com for which seats are best on which flights. SeatExpert.com does the same thing.
3) If you're a frequent traveler check your airlines policies on upgrading to business or first class. Sometimes you can pay $50 or use some miles to upgrade and give yourself a much nicer trip.
