There's another full week of rides and events in store for motorcyclists in the Shreveport/Bossier City community. Light rain in the area this week has cooled things down a bit, and temperatures are under the 100 degree mark, unlike last year. Riders on Saturday and Sunday can expect the forecast to include 20% chance of precipitation and temperatures in the middle nineties, the norm for Northwest Louisiana. The week of rides and events begins Thursday night with the legendary steak night at Coyote's Bar & Grill and will conclude on Sunday with Karaoke on the porch at Our Place Bar & Grill.

Steak night at Coyote's Bar & Grill Shreveport
Coyote's Bar & Grill, located at 1618 Market Street in Shreveport is the Thursday night biker hot spot. Run with the Nuns (RWTN) Pancake Breakfast and Pancake Eating Contest
Join the Nuns for the Run with the Nuns ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, July 14 at Applebee's on Mansfield Road in Shreveport from 8 -10 am. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at www.christusschumpertfoundation.org or at the door. Bring friends and family!
In addition to the usual all-you-can-eat menu, there will be a pancake eating competition at 9:00, where 10 brave men and 10 brave women will be challenged to see who can beat the unofficial world record for most pancakes eaten in 15 minutes! That record is 35 pancakes. Register if you dare by calling 681-6100.
Beer & Burger Saturday at Bossier City Harley-Davidson
Enjoy free beer and burgers at your local Harley-Davidson dealership. The Bossier City Harley-Davidson at 2225 Autoplex Drive will host their popular free beer and burgers Saturday on 14 July from noon to 2 pm or while supplies last. Stop by and enjoy the food and beverages, sales, and cameraderie of other riders.
Leather & Lace at Coyote's Shreveport
Leather & Lace is an annual fundraiser to support downed riders and their after accident needs. Come out and have some fun while making a difference in the community. Live music, bike games, drink specials and a bike show included. Bike show begins at 4 pm. Visit Shreveport's biggest and best biker bar for a night full of fun.

Steak and Karaoke at Our Place Bar & Grill, Elm Grove
On Sunday afternoon, Our Place Bar & Grill in Elm Grove is the place to be if you're a biker. The food is great, the karaoke is fun, and the ride there is twisty and enjoyable. On Sunday you can grub out on a grilled ribeye steak, baked potato, salad and roll for one low price and listen to or participate in the popular "Karaoke on the Porch". Rides, events and picnics are abundant this week.
Unity Ride and CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) Meeting
This Sunday, the Unity Ride will go to the Cowboy Church in Haughton, located at 1130 Stewart Road. Meet at McDonald's on Airline and Viking Drive in Bossier City; kickstands up at 9:20 sharp to ride to the Church. Come for a great time of riding, fellowship, worship, and lunch, provided by the church members. "The key to budget travel is to plan in front.
