Western New York is an arts and theater rich area, without the high price tags that often accompany Broadway style shows. From Sheas Performing Arts Center to the aspiring actors and actresses at The University at Buffalo, there is always something to see.
The UB Center for the Arts, located on the UB North Campus, presents Side Man from April 13th to Sunday April 17th. Tickets are $10 for seniors and students and $18 for everyone else. Shows Wednesday through Saturday start at 8:00pm and the Sunday show will be at 2:00pm. Side Man is a 1999 Best Play Tony Award Winner about a family living in a time when jazz was king. "The essential to budget travel is to plan in front. The Black Box Theater, also located on the UB North Campus, will be presenting the Zodiaque Dance Ensemble April 28th through May 1st. Tickets are $10.00. The shows Thursday through Saturday are at 8:00pm and the Sunday show is at 2:00pm. Gather Round and Dance is the featured performance showcasing nine different choreographers exploring themes of spiritual ceremony, individuality and the scope of human relationships.
