Florida once again rolls out the welcome mat for motorcyclists. This years Biketoberfest will be held in and around Daytona Beach area beginning Thursday, October 13 with activities through Sunday, October 16, 2011.
Below is just a small sampling of the many activities organized with bikers in mind.
All weekend:
- Broken Spoke Saloon Ormond Beach live entertainment and contests plus free bike parking
- Second Avenue Merchants Association Daytona Beach welcomes bikers to shop from a variety of vendors. Entertainment will also be on tap.
- Biketoberfest Motorcycle Swap Meet Daytona Flea Market will offer visitors a chance to buy-sell-trade stuff plus have a chance to enter a contest or two.
- Smileys Ormond Beach live entertainment, BBQ, contests, and vendors
- Racings North Turn Bar & Grille Ponce Inlet live entertainment, promotional events, and a poker run
- Roadside Tavern Port Orange food, contests, and entertainment
- Capts Tavern Daytona Beach live entertainment, food, apparel, games, giveaways, and a drive-thru photo booth
- Limpnickie Lot Stone Edge Skate Park in South Daytona will showcase fabricators and motorcycle builders. There will also be entertainment, food, a swap meet, and more.
- Roar Motorcycles Daytona Beach motorcycles designed for women (demo rides available), a pre-MSF course confidence building class, a basic bike maintenance class, and a sisterhood ride
- Biketoberfest in Riverfront Park Daytona Beach live entertainment, a food court, bike builders, and a vendor village
- Boot Hill Saloon Daytona Beach live entertainment, vendors, and contests
- JJ Fins New Smyrna Beach live entertainment and daily giveaways
- Biketoberfest at International Deli & Gourmet Foods New Smyrna Beach German beer garden type atmosphere in tents set up at the Food Lion shopping plaz.
- 316 Main Street Station Restaurant & Saloon Daytona Beach a variety of live entertainment acts
- Hang Dawg Saloon at Biker Haven Ormond Beach live music, bike wash, and bike photos
- Big Flag Oak Hill will have vendors selling leather, clothes, food, bike parts. The site features picnic tables, plenty of parking, and shade trees.
- Daytona Dog House Daytona Beach live entertainment, vendors, and daily activities
- Froggys Saloon Daytona Beach live music day and night, food, souvenirs, and more
- Crusin Caf Daytona Beach live music, souvenirs, t-shirts, and daily contests
- Bikers for First Amendment Rights (B.F.F.A.R.) Holly Hill live entertainment, BBQ, bike wash, and secure motorcycle parking
- 7th Annual Motorcycle Swap Meet Extravaganza & Bike Show Deland at the fairgrounds will offer visitors a chance to buy-sell-trade plus opportunities to enter bike shows.
- Iron Horse Saloon Ormond Beach live music and vendors
- Dirty Harrys Daytona Beach entertainment, t-shirts, and contests
- Historic Pinewood Cemetery Daytona Beach tours with a donation for charity
- Full Moon Saloon Daytona Beach live entertainment and contests
- Fall Cycle Scene at Daytona International Speedway Daytona Beach free demo rides, contests, and motorcycle racing
Events scheduled for Friday, October 14:
- Shenandoah in Concert at the Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m.; call (386) 481-2465 for tickets
- Blessing of the Bikes and Biker-Beach South Daytona welcomes all bikes with food, fun, and music following the blessing (1 p.m.) for a nominal donation. Karaoke will be featured at 7 p.m.
- Blue Grotto Custom Bike Show Daytona Beach custom bike show
- Ben Prestage at Riverfront Park Daytona Beach concert 1-5 p.m.
- Boardwalk Classic Bike Show Daytona Beach registration 8 a.m.-11 a.m.; show 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; trophies at 4:30 p.m.
Events scheduled for Saturday, October 15:
- Blindside at Riverfront Park Daytona Beach concert 1-5 p.m.
- IMBBA Ride-in Custom Bike Show Ormond Beach at the Broken Spoke Saloon; registration 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; and awards (multiple classes) at 5 p.m.
- Biker Football Classic Daytona Beach Bethune-Cookman hosts Fort Valley State at 4 p.m. "The important to budget travel is to plan in advance. - American Legion Post 270 Legion Riders BBQ Port Orange all veterans welcome for music, BBQ, games from 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
- 19th Annual Rats Hole Ride-In Bike Show Daytona Beach - $10 admission
- Blue Oyster Cult Concert Destination Daytona at Ormond Beach free concert starts at 6:30 p.m.
Events scheduled for Sunday, October 16:
- Victor Wainwright & the Wildroots at Riverfront Park Daytona Beach concert noon to 4 p.m.
- 6th Annual Florida Harmonica Championships New Smyrna Beach at Beachside Tavern 25 harmonica players will compete and play from noon to 9 p.m.; lots of giveaways, prizes, food, and merchandise; admission is $5
