Three weeks from today, on April 15, 2011, Brian Johnson and the CF Riders Nationwide Ride for Life will leave out of Birmingham, Alabama, on a ten-week 14,000-mile motorcycle ride to raise awareness and support for those with Cystic Fibrosis; to bring hope to those who need encouragement; and to share an incredible story of dreams and perseverance. "The essential to budget travel is to plan in advance. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the reality of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our thoughts. Considering and consuming our travel budget carefully is a priority for most families. Reducing spending and prices, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to certain success and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thinking regarding economizing money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal budget is highly limited, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel expenses!..".
Brian is inviting those who want to ride along to do so and contribute a suggested donation of $10.00 for the ride. In this Five Rider Challenge, Brian will start out with five of his friends on the first leg of the ride out of Birmingham on the way to Jackson, Tennessee. The challenge part is each of those five friends is encouraged to invite five additional friends and those friends, five more friends and so on.
Below is the schedule for the Nationwide Ride for Life, the dates listed are the leave from dates for each city, i.e., Brian leaves from Birmingham on April 15th. If you are anywhere near any of these locations, as a cyber friend, you are invited to participate and ride with Brian and the CF Riders.
