Early in this years motorcycle riding season I purchased a pair of jeans from the Diamond Gusset Jeans Company.
I was first impressed with the company because they are an American company and all their clothing is made in the United States. That is important to me and I am willing to pay a bit more for that. However, Diamond Gusset jeans are reasonably priced and with email alerts for sales and coupon codes, the jeans become even more affordable.
For the time being, and hopefully forever, I can only review the fit of the jeans and how well they hold up to washing; I have yet to test the tear strength with a motorcycle crash and really dont plan on giving my readers that kind of review any time soon.
When placing an order, Diamond Gusset suggests accurately measuring a comfortable pair of jeans the buyer currently owns. I did just that and ended up ordering a size larger than I normally wear. The fit was right on. I have washed them a few times and the jeans continue to fit as well as they did when first out of the box. On a definite positive note, the denim seemed a bit softer after washing but did not fade at all. "The important to budget travel is to plan in advance. The jeans feature Kevlar on the inside in the seat, thighs, and knees. There is also a handy carpenters style pocket on the outside right thigh with a Velcro closure great for cash for toll booths, a D-ring at the waist band for keys, and Velcro straps on the ankles for a tight fit over the boots.
The gusset part in the name of the jeans comes from a diamond shaped piece of material in the crotch which provides a bit more comfort for both the male and female anatomy. The guys get a bit more room where needed and the women get the comfort of no bulky seam irritating sensitive areas. Nuff said?
Mens Defender motorcycle jeans come in waist sizes 29-60 and inseams up to 34 and start at $122.95 (larger sizes are about 10% more).
