Good morning budget travelers! The temperture in Chattanooga hit 90 degrees sometime last week and despite what the calendar says, it's summer! And that means it's time to get going! If you're headed to Chattanooga this summer you're headed in the right direction for summer time fun! Every Friday night Miller Plaza is host to Nightfall, a free outdoor concert featuring two different acts. This show gets started around 7pm, and features a local or regional act. Then, at 8pm, the headliner goes on stage. Nightfall lasts until around 10pm. Rest assured there are plenty of local vendors selling fine food and drink as well.
Friday, June 10 is the first night of Riverbend 2011! This 9 day music festival is pure Chattanooga! The festival takes place along the riverfront in downtown Chattanooga and features more than 100 bands! You can still grab a discounted entrance pin at local area Kangaroo stores until June 10. On opening night the pin price goes up to $40 at the gate. "The important to budget travel is to plan in advance. If you're only in town for the weekend, don't forget to head on down to the TN Aquarium plaza for the Saturday morning River Market. This little version of the Sunday Market is worth checking out! Saturday, June 11 the band A1A, the only Jimmy Buffet approved tribute band, is performing! With 100% local vendors, it's a taste of Chattanooga that can't be beat!
