Several motorcycle related events are on tap this weekend for the community to enjoy. The weather is forecasted to be near perfect in the 70's and 80's, with just 20-30% chance of rain over the weekend. Don't forget the following events scheduled for this weekend as follows:
Saturday, Mar 26
6:00 - 10:00 am
CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) Desoto Pancake Breakfast - $5 per person (pancakes, sausauge, juice, coffee) BBQ Jacks Restaurant, Hwy 171 in Stonewall (across from the Chevron Station) Proceeds to benefit CMA's Run for the Son.
10 am annual Lake Bistineau ABATE Chili Cook Off and Poker Run. "The essential to budget travel is to prepare ahead. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is often in the back of our thoughts. Arranging and consuming our travel budget carefully is a consideration for most families. Minimizing expending and costs, while still experiencing your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievements and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought behind economizing money while touring is simple: Even if your personal funds is incredibly tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel costs!..". It starts with the Poker Run at 10 AM. Also registration for the Chili Cook Off starts at 10 AM. The only rules for the cook off is your chili must be cooked outside in the open and can not be a mix like "5 Alarm Chili" or canned. The Entry fee is $10. You can use whatever ingredients you want. You can set up and start cooking any time you want. Turn in time is 4 PM. Tasting bowls will be available. The music will start at 2 PM courtesy of Gary Carter. We will also have an Auction starting at 4:30 PM.
10:30 am G&C Honda Open House and Louisiana Honor Air Benefit, $25 (tshirt-ride-lunch) Proceeds to benefit WWII vets expenses to Washington DC.
10 am Benefit for the Wounded Warrior Project; AM Vets Post 7, 3409 England Drive, Alexandria. Dinner plate $5 donation. Live band, raffle tickets, auction.

12:00 pm Memorial Mission for LCpl Jon Eric Bowman; 1919 North MacArthur Drive, Ruston, LA
2:00 pm COC Meeting in Alexandria on Sunday, Mar 26 at Brewzer's, 1919 North MacArthur Drive.
