Gretna Heritage Festival, a Budget Friendly Weekend Outing

Summer has come and gone and Fall is officially here, but that doesn't mean the festivals have stopped. Just a short drive down the road is the Gretna Heritage Festival, which has placed in the Southeastern Tourism Society's Top Twenty, the American Bus Association Top 100 Events in North America, and AAA Southern Traveler Official Travel Treasure so your sure to have a fun time without breaking your budget.

The festival itself runs October 2nd - October 4th, 2009 and features singers ranging from Chicago and Kool and the Gang to local talents such as The New Orleans Bingo Show. This three day festival includes six stages of live music from more than 50 bands, as well as arts, crafts, food, rides, and entertainment for the kids.

With entrance fees at $10 per person (children under 12 are free), or a weekend pass for $25 it costs less than the a trip to the movies to make a drive to Gretna for an entire day or weekend of entertainment.
