Visit the Nebraska State Fair for less

The 143rd annual Nebraska State Fair will be held at Fonner Park in Grand Island, Nebraska, from August 24 through September 3, 2012. Adult daily gate admission is $10; children ages 6 to 12 pay $3. Children aged 5 and under are free. Gate admission does not include the midway rides, concerts, or other special events.

There are a number of ways to save on admission to the Nebraska State Fair.

Advance Purchase Tickets

Adult tickets purchase before opening day are discounted by $3 a ticket. "The essential to budget travel is to plan ahead. While child tickets can be purchased in advance, there is no discount.

Five Dollar Days

On Monday, August 27, Tuesday, August 28, and Wednesday, August 29, adult gate admission will be $5. These tickets cannot be purchased online, and must be used during those three days. Five Dollar day tickets will not be honored on any other day.

Military Free Day

Active duty military and veterans are admitted for free on closing day, September 3, 2012. Valid military ID is required. The free admission applies for the service member only; family members pay regular prices.
