Area freebies and discounts ease the pinch of paying taxes

With the arrival of tax dayor as it happens this year, tax weekendyou may be feeling poorer than usual.

Some caring (and savvy) area businesses are willing to help by offering discounts and freebies to ease the sting and stress of paying your taxes. Some are available April 15, others April 18, and a few for the whole weekend. Here are some of the special offers available in our area:

Arbys restaurants will be offering free curly fries with a Facebook coupon on Friday, April 15.

Cinnabon is offering Tax Day Bites on Monday, April 18, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., giving away two free Cinnabon Bites to each guest.

P.F. Changs China Bistro will discount your meal by 15 percent for takeout or dining room on Monday, April 18 (does not include alcoholic drinks or happy hour food and drinks).

T.G.I. Fridays will give a $5 gift card to diners spending $15 to $25 on Friday, April 15. Spend more than $25 and get a $10 gift card.

Bally Total Fitness has offers for both members and non-members. Non-members can enjoy a free workout on Monday, April 18, and members can sign up from April 15-21 at your local Bally's for a free thirty-minute personal training session.
