Get away without paying for a hotel

With our economy these days it is becoming harder and harder for any of us to be able to even conceive of how we can branch out and get ourselves on our way to a trip for the weekend. Which is a shame because with how work probably is for you right this moment, you really could use a weekend away to get back to your true self. Well, luckily for you, if you're willing there may be a way for you to do just this an not have to pay for a hotel for the night.

The keyword though in that last paragraph is your willingness. Because if you are willing to get away even though you cannot afford a hotel room for the night, well, then there is always the option of sleeping in your car. True this will not be like staying in the Ritz (well, unless maybe you own a Bentley or something), but it will be a comfortable enough option if you really just need to get away.

Nowadays there are plenty of rest stops along every highway that will make finding one not as impossible as you may think. These rest stops offer toilet facilities, vending machines, and even sometimes showers. Truck stops are another great option, that do for a fact offer showers.

If you do decide to sleep in your lovely car, then a good thing to remember is to pack a few extra blankets or even a sleeping bag. It can get cold at night, and you do want to be prepared. You can either cover yourself with blankets in your seat that has been tilted down, or you can stretch out on your backseat with the blankets and sleeping bag. This really is much more comfortable then you might think.

True this may not be everyone's dream when traveling, but it is a great way to save some cash and also give you quite an exciting little story to tell all your friends back home. Many people have been doing this kind of traveling for years and they still continue to do so today. So let yourself get out there and see the world for a weekend without going over your already possibly low budget. Happy travels everyone! :)
