I've beenreceiving requests for more Twin Cities restaurant infothroughout my brief hiatus. That combined with the factthat I've been seriously discontent withonly having written about a handful of hungerappeasing Minneapolis restaurants thus far;here's part dos.
One of my favorite restaurants in Uptown, is thetropical food extravaganza provided by the bustling, cosmopolitan eaterydeemed Chino Latino. Known for their 'street food from the hot zones,' i.e. the Caribbean, South and Central America, Polynesia, Asia, India and Africa- whew- Chino Latino offers a playful menu of authentic cuisine from all around the equator. The key to budget travel is to prepare onward. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our heads. Organizing and spending our travel budget correctly is a priority for most families. Reducing spending and fees, while still taking pleasure in your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed success and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought behind economizing money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal finances is really tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel expenses!. Nestled on the corner of Hennepin Ave. and Lake St., beneath the glittery marquee, Chino's, as it is fondly referred to, is so sophisticated and uber- modernized, they don't even have traditional signage declaring their space! Although Chino's is known for being a stylish and perpetually packedbar in the heart of Uptown,it's even more well known for itsincredible array of international cuisine and funky drink menu. Food portions range from a typical sushi bar,to small dishes that one canintimately share amongst a table oftheir closest gossipmongers, to large family feasts that sometimes require your edibles being lit on fire! Pricing is under $30 andmany entrees can usually feed 2-4 people quite easily! An ideal destination for a fabulous happy hour (where the food is cheap, cheap, cheap at $2- $4 a dish) with co- workers or a trendy bachelorette party, the decoris as loud as the Latin music, and this hotspot is full of beautiful people, fresh cocktails and funky appetizers. Needless to say, all fivesenses are constantly stimulated in one way or another. Tips: Make a reservation if you're goingfor dinner, expect a very noisy atmosphere, and try the Nachos del Sol! Salud!
A fantastic restaurantcombining American, Fusion and Sushi cuisines, Crave Restaurant, proves that chic and casual atmospheresare able toblend togetherand create a dining experience that leavessatisfied customerswanting more. A demonstration kitchen provides for a fun backdrop to dining conversations, or customerscan peruse the bar orstroll amongst the beautifully landscaped patio and enjoy the great outdoors. And can we talk about the menu? There's something for everyone- literally. Wood- fired pizzas are deliciously made to order, a Sushi chef is on- site to provide fresh rolls, rotisserie chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, creamy pastas galore- ahhh, I bet your stomach is grumbling, isn't it?The ingredients are focused on fresh, organic and local finds that are all served within 24 hours of purchase. What more does a hungry patron need? How about an elegant floor to ceiling wine tower boasting 125+ wine selection? They've got that too! Sunday's la carte brunch features fruit- filled pancakes, exquisitely gooey stickybuns smoked cheddar scrambled eggs, applewood smoked bacon, a French toast bar.... do I need to continue? Delish.Tips: apps and sandwiches are mostly under the $10 mark, definitely make a reservation and indulge in the Sunday brunch, visit during happy hour and try over 15 varieties of foods between $3- $5, as well as a bountiful happy hour drink menu! With 3 locationsdispersed around the cities, you're never too far away from a quality Crave experience!
