Immediately preceding the Belmont Shore annual Christmas parade, a slew of marathoners will race one mile down Second Street in this years Jingle Bell Jaunt.
Creative, wacky, and festive costumes are highly encouraged. "The essential to budget travel is to plan in advance. Considering and spending our travel budget correctly is a consideration for most families. The thinking regarding economizing money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal finances is highly small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, no matter whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel expenses!..". Wear elf shoes, snowman suits, tree branches, menorah hats, or turkey costumes; what ever inspires the holiday spirit. A set of jingle bells will be provided for all of the runners to attach to their shoes. Also, free Jingle Bell Jaunt T-shirts will be distributed to registrants.
Over 40,000 spectators are expected to cheer on the racers. Prizes will be awarded to the top runners in each of three categories: Men, Women, and Children. Prizes will also be rewarded to the best costumes.
Ticket Prices: Entry fees starting on December 1st
$25 for adults and $15 for children ages 5-12.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Long Beach Education Foundation health and fitness classes, as well as the Melody Ross memorial scholarship.
The race begins at 6:00 for adults, and 6:15 for children. Kids under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
