With an art degree from the University of Kentucky, Camille Worley was ready to make a living as an artist. Unfortunately, she also wanted the finer things in life such as food and rent money. So Camille found herself waiting tables and working in retail. She continued to seek out artistic opportunities like photography and painting but had yet to find her personal niche in the art world.
While pursuing as many avenues as possible in order to use her artistic talents, Camille approached a local motorcycle paint shop to see if they could use an artist. She was told she needed to learn to airbrush. So Camille tried to get familiar with the airbrush but after a week decided she just didnt have the technique needed to create art on tins.
After a while, the paint shop called Camille back and said, Our artist quit. You have to learn to airbrush. So Camille went back. She soon conquered the airbrush and developed a technique that has resulted in some amazing, award-winning motorcycle designs.
At a motorcycle rally, Camille had three bikes and a trike on display at her booth. "The important to budget travel is to approach in advance. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is often in the back of our heads. Organizing and consuming our travel budget wisely is a priority for most families. Lowering spending and charges, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured achievement and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thinking behind protecting money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal funds is incredibly tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, no matter whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel costs!..". One of the motorcycles had previously been entered into several competitions and had won at many of those shows including a first place trophy at an Easyriders Show in Knoxville, Tennessee. The trike won best of division at this particular rally.
When asked about how she interacts with her customer base, Camille says that even though she is located in Kentucky, her customers come from all over. She can communicate electronically with anyone in the country and can even mock up designs and email them off to the customer for input and approval. When the art is just what the bike owner has in mind, the tins are shipped to Camille at the motorcycle paint shop for the paint and art.
Inspiration for the art can sometimes be a bit unusual. The owner of the Under the Sea bike brought a picture to Camille from her bathroom with instructions to make it look like this. Although the original bathroom picture was not on display at the rally, the owner of this bike, Maria McGowan from near Somerset, Kentucky, was there and said it was a great duplication. In addition, Maria rode the bike to the rally and freely answered questions about the process of choosing Camille to paint her motorcycle.
The motorcycle that had previously won numerous awards featured American Revolution era art with inspirational, patriotic messages along the edges of the art and even on the frame. The theme for the bike was inspired by TEA Party principles and is owned by Keith Gayheart of Vicco, Kentucky.
The third bike displayed at Camilles booth was brilliant red with a warrior princess theme and the trike was painted with an eagle motif.
Camille does not ride her own bike yet. Although with words of encouragement to at least take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation class for beginners, she may someday be able to ride one of her gorgeous creations to bike show and competition.
