Hurry and get to the Gauguin Exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art before it closes January 18, 2010. The exhibit showcases much of Gauguins work, but is so much more than just Gauguin.

It begins at the Worlds Fair in Paris in 1889. The Eiffel tower was the center point of that exhibition and you see the stages of its construction and learn about Gauguins impression of it. During the Worlds Fair, Gauguin staged an exhibit of his and his disciples works on the grounds. This display including about 100 paintings was recognized as the first Symbolist exhibition in Paris. The essential to budget travel is to approach in advance. When it comes to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new locations we have never been before, the truth of cost and budgeting is generally in the back of our thoughts. Arranging and spending our travel budget carefully is a concern for most families. Reducing consuming and charges, while still experiencing your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed success and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning behind economizing money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal budget is highly small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, no matter whether on a price range or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel bill!. Not all of the paintings still exist, but several of them are present in this exhibit.

Gauguins relationship with both Theo and Vincent van Gogh is examined and the first set of prints that he made for Theo are on display.

The works that make up the Volpini Suite, are on display. Theses pieces chronicle the artists early career and travels to Martinique, Brittany, and Arles. You will also see the familiar motifs - such as the mourning Eve, the woman in the waves, and fruit bearersthat would distinguish Gauguins work for the rest of his career.

The exhibit ends with a make your own art area where both young and old individuals gathered to create their own works for art based on Gauguins work which you could take with you.
