Win a trip to Mardi Gras in Vermont

If youre a fan of tasty brews, or traveling, or Mardi Gras, or concerts, or free ice cream, then I have stumbled upon the thing for you. Magic Hat Brewing Company is sponsoring a pretty awesome Mardi Gras contest. All you have to do is sign up online or snail mail a postcard with your relevant information, and you get a chance to win a trip to Magic Hats Mardi Gras celebration Feb. 27-March 1 in Burlington, Vt. The prize includes airfare and hotel for you and three friends, four tickets to a Disco Biscuits concert, a VIP tour of the brewery, a couple of meals, some additional free flights. And oh yeah, free Ben and Jerrys for a year!

The contest is open only to those 21 and up. And there are some geographic restrictions, but residents of the District, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia are all included.

Ive never really considered celebrating Carnival anywhere other than New Orleans or Rio, but my budget-inclined brain perks up at the sound of free trip. So Id definitely be up for some Vermont-style revelry -- especially when it includes jam-banding and a spot on the parade float. In the likely case I dont win the contest, I might still consider going. Sounds like fun!
