Yes it can be done. Most families believe that a trip to Disney World is a bank breaker and shouldnt be considered. "The important to budget travel is to approach onward. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is always in the back of our mind. Arranging and expending our travel budget properly is a main concern for most families. Reducing expending and expenses, while still experiencing your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed success and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning behind protecting money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal budget is highly small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, whether on a finances or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel charge!..". However, with some careful planning and bit of saving it is possible.

The biggest influence is the time of year. Time at Disney is split into two sections: the on-season and the off-season. The on-season is the summer, Christmas, Easter- any time when most children are out of schools. The off-season is the rest of the year- winter, early May, fall. Taking children out of school is something most parents wont consider, but it could mean not only major savings, but also fewer crowds.

A trip to Disney doesnt always mean a trip to a Disney hotel. While there can be some great deals, also look at the surrounding hotels- any hotel labeled as a good neighbor has been checked and is endorsed by Disney as a family friendly hotel. Most hotels also have shuttles that run between the hotel and Disney, which will save on parking.

Food will be very expensive- few families bring food with them into the parks as there is nowhere to store perishables and its hard to stomach peanut butter and jelly for five days. Instead, look to bringing breakfast items with you- a box of orange juice and a few breakfast bars are easy to pack and can be eaten while waiting for the bus. Eat the largest meal at lunch- not only are prices lower but its much easier to leave the parks for dinner and breakfast.

The meals at Disney are very large so consider getting an adult meal and splitting it between kids. One adult meal may be cheaper- and more food- than a kids meal. Also, look for buffets or family style restaurants that will serve as much food as possible. If youre staying at a Disney hotel, make sure to ask about the price of the Disney Dining Plan, a pre-paid dining plan.

By keeping an eye on the hotel and food a trip to Disney can become manageable for families. The key is to plan ahead and have a budget before leaving home.
