Tennis: there are many free neighborhood courts
Softball or flag football (some leagues are free at Houston Sportsplex)
Soccer can be played in a variety of settings(this is a popular sport in Houston due to the variousimmigrant populations)
Outdoor karting (often with Mini-golf nearby!)
Monkey Sports & Bayou City Outdoors offer various sport leagues; you will surely find one that meets your skill level and social expectations.
