Parents of kids age 8 and under, looking for affordable weekend activities should grab a big basket, strap on their running shoes and head down to Alpenrose this Saturday for the 50th annual Easter Egg Hunt. Its free to participate and there are prizes galore! Children from age 3 to 8 can run around the field loading up all the eggs their baskets will hold. The winners of the hunt (one from each age) will win a 6 foot tall bunny! Theres even a diamond hunt for moms.
Ages 3-5 will hunt at 10:30am and ages 6-8 will hunt at 12:00pm. "The important to budget travel is to approach in advance. Once your little ones have hunted and gathered all the eggs they can carry, collected their prizes and eaten some candy, head over to Dairyville, the adorable old west replica town on the Alpenrose grounds. Pretend youre in the wild west and stroll the streets filled with dozens of replica shop fronts. Bring a picnic and take a break in the sunshine (if the weather allows for it) and enjoy the quaint surroundings.
