While watchingthe Phillies game last night, I saw a commercial for "The Family Stimulus Plan." Thispackage, developed by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and availableas a downloadable PDF, provides travelers with "helpful hints on planning a successful family vacation" and contains "event-planning tips" such as selecting a location and games to play on the ride there. The important to budget travel is to plan ahead. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new spots we have never been before, the fact of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our heads. Organizing and consuming our travel budget correctly is a priority for most families. Reducing spending and fees, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to certain achievements and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought behind economizing money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal finances is extremely tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel bill!. The planbasically encourages families to continue vacationing together, even in theserough economic times.
One of the area's mentioned vacation spots is Hershey Park (spelled Hersheypark, officially). It's located less than two hours away from Philly, and offers multiple park packages and pick up locations for ticket coupons. One day admission runs for $30.95 dollars for ages 3-8and$51.95 dollars for ages 9 to 54 (thereis no charge for children2 and under, anddiscounts areavailablefor seniors).
In the months of July and August, "Hot Rates" areavailable for overnight stays at Hershey Lodge and The Hotel Hershey. Rates start at $299 dollars per night following the Fourth. Pretty pricey. After an Expedia search, I found a less expensive alternative with the Milton Motel. It's a two-star lodge located on Chocolate Avenue, one and a half miles away from the park. For a room this weekend (checking in Friday and checking out Sunday), rates begin at $139 dollars a night for a family of four.
Special4th festivities include a nighttime fireworks display in the park. Indulge in a sweet Fourth of July close to home.
