The Boston "Ahts" (read: Arts) Festival runs this weekend, September 11-13, 2009. Originally started as a one day event in 2003, the festival now spans 3 full days by the scenic Boston waterfront.
Beginning, Friday, September 11, Visual Artists will be on display from 12:00 to 6:00pm and the festival will officially kick off with an introduction from Mayor Thomas Menino (on Twitter @MayorTomMenino) at 5:30pm.
His intro will be followed by a performance from the Community Music Center of Boston and the Boston Gay Men's Chorus.
Performances, demonstrations, and displays will continue all weekend, and you can expect to see everything from Jazz, Chorus, Mexican Classical Guitar, Rock, Theater, Opera (including a sneak preview of Madame White Snake) and Ballet. The important to budget travel is to plan in front. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new locations we have never been before, the actuality of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our mind. Arranging and consuming our travel budget carefully is a concern for most families. Curbing spending and costs, while still experiencing your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed achievements and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning regarding saving money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal finances is incredibly tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also recalling that while traveling, regardless of whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel expenses!. Acts in the past have included: Blue Man Group, Boston Ballet, the Boston Pops, Opera Boston and more.
