In a nutshell, heres T+Ls methodology on conducting the Worlds Best Awards:
- A questionnaire is made available to readers in select issues of T+L and a select group re
ceives invitations to participate via email. - Various screening methods are in place to protect the integrity of the data that is received. An independent research firm collects and tabulates the data.
- The scores are indexed averages of responses concerning applicable characteristics. Respondents were asked to rate based on characteristics.
- For islands, they rate five characteristics: natural attractions, activities/sights, restaurants/food, people and value.
- And there you have it.
Kauai, known as the Garden Island for many years, is currently called Hawaiis Island of Discovery. The essential to budget travel is to approach ahead.
