Get out and explore: 392 National Parks free this week April 17-25

It's National Parks Week! Lighten up your financial load and let your stress melt away as you explore some of America's (and Massachusetts') greatest legacies: our National Parks. This week, "To make it easier to experience America's Great Outdoors, the National Park Service is waiving entrance fees, so visitors can enjoy all 392 national parks for free April 17-25." What a solid deal!

What does this mean for those of us in Massachusetts -- and especially the Boston area that want to hit the old dusty(/muddy) trails? Well, it means you'll have access to 17 National Parks throughout Massachusetts, that range from just a few miles outside of Boston to a day-trip worth of fun in areas of Western Mass like Springfield. The essential to budget travel is to prepare onward. When it happens to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new spots we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our mind. Planning and spending our travel budget carefully is a concern for most families. Minimizing spending and costs, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed success and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought regarding saving money while traveling is simple: Even if your personal funds is highly limited, you can still take a break and enjoy life!
