Kauai Beach Resort is featuring original works of art by award-winning pastel artist Helen Turner at their March 3 Art & Wine Thursdays event in Shutters Lounge. Turner will be present during the event when four of her new pastel paintings are unveiled starting at 5:30 pm.
A resident of Kauai for more than 28 years, Helen Turner has won numerous awards for her works including Grand Prize of Excellence at the Pastel Arts of Hawaii's annual exhibition in 2006 and 2007. Ms. Turner is a signature member of The Pastel Artists of Hawaii, member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, member of the Association of Hawaii Artists and the Kauai Society of Artists.
The wine tasting part of the evening starts at 6 pm featuring wines from Sonoma: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from J Vineyards & Winery and Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc from Quivira. The wines will be paired with delicious pupus prepared by Executive Chef Mark Sassone. Live music by Jonah Cummings also begins at 6 pm.
Art & Wine Thursdays cost $20 per person and includes the four tastings. Tax and gratuity not included.
