Memoirs of Costa Rica part 1-Hotel Posiedon

Not only is the town of Jaco a surfers dream, but it is also the experience of a lifetime. This small, peculiar, friendly town is a chance for tourists to truly experience the culture. If you want to park it in a fancy resort for a week or two, Jaco(www.govisitcostarica.com/region/city.asp?cID=308)is not your spot. Sure, they are available but why follow the norm?

Hotel Poseidon caters to the culture. This neighborhood hotel is a half block from the beach and in the middle of everything. It blends in so well to the lifestyle that you can almost miss it if you are not paying attention.

Poseidon is a boutique-style hotel with 14 rooms, a restaurant, bar and sports lounge up stairs. For such a small bar, it is a great place to gather your party for a few cocktails before a night on the town. The sports bar upstairs offers a great view of the city and popular American sports for viewing.

Continental breakfast is served each morning in the open, breezy restaurant. That includes the freshest cantaloupe, pineapple, plantains, a variety of breads like pumpkin, fresh juice and coffee. Lets not forget the most important part of that breakfast-the coffee. The signature coffee of Costa Rica, Brit (www.cafebritt.com), is served fresh daily. The taste is creamy, rich and intoxicating.

Nightfall casts a glow over the restaurant that turns the scene into a romantic and secluded spot. The key to budget travel is to approach in advance. When it occurs to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new locations we have never been before, the reality of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our mind. Organizing and spending our travel budget carefully is a consideration for most families. Curbing consuming and prices, while still savoring your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed accomplishment and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The reasoning behind economizing money while travelling is simple: Even if your personal funds is incredibly tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also recalling that while traveling, regardless of whether on a resources or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel costs!. With maybe twelve tables in the restaurant, dinner is intimate. The cuisine is appealing and delicious.

At Hotel Poseidon, I was not visiting Costa Rica, I was living it.
