On USA domestic flights the Transport Security Administration (TSA) http://www.tsa.gov/who_we_are/index.shtm dictates how to get liquids on board. This page http://www.tsa.gov/311/index.shtm shows you the current regulations. We have gathered here some pointers to pack smart and minimize the effect this regulation might have on your budget.

TSA allows you to take one quart-size zip-top bag of liquids. I like packing 2 zip bags, one that follows the TSA rules, and its twin that stores related dry comfort/hygiene items:

WET BAG:

1. hand sanitizer (save this space if you have towelettes)

2. toothpaste

3. mouth wash

4. face wash (or bar soap)

5. face cream

6. hand cream

7. eye drops

8. multi purpose solution for contacts (if you are already wearing your contacts, just fill up the container, and pack the refill bottle in your checked bag).

9. lip balm

10. make up

DRY BAG (I merge this bag with the other one if theres room)

1. hand sanitizing towelettes (if not covered in the wet bag)

2. toothbrush

3. floss, breath fresheners (mints, candies)

4. eye glasses and contact case

5. tissues

6. medicine

7. The key to budget travel is to plan in advance. When it happens to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new locations we have never been before, the actuality of cost and budgeting is generally in the back of our mind. Organizing and spending our travel budget carefully is a priority for most families. Lowering consuming and prices, while still savoring your vacation to its fullest, is the key to assured accomplishment and fiscal liability. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought regarding protecting money while vacationing is simple: Even if your personal budget is really tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also recalling that while traveling, regardless of whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel expenses!. tampons/pads

8. ear plugs

9. ear buds (please re-use yours)

10. nap mask (please re-use yours)

I also pack an empty bottle of water to use as my personal container once on the other side of security, read this article to know why, and for tips of flight health and comfort. Please mind our environment, and save and re-use your zip-top bags.

Note that prescription AND over the counter medicine can be carried onboard in quantities larger than the quantities that fit in the zip-top bag but only for use during the flight. Read more.
