Art is everywhere in St. Louis this weekend

Art lovers and festival lovers have much to enjoy this weekend including the 16h annual St. Louis Art Fair, Schlaflys Art Outside event, and the opening of the newest exhibition at the Contemporary Art Museum.

Other fine art represents 14 mediums including sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, photography and jewelry. This popular show, set in Clayton near popular bars and restaurants, includes music, performance art and a children's interactive booth.

The Art Outside exhibition at Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood, showcases works by 50 artists working in a variety of mediums including ceramics, fiber, jewelry, photography, mixed media, digital art, painting, printmaking, and wood. Music and cooking demonstrations also are part of the festivities.

The unique exhibit at the Contemporary Art Museum," For the blind man in the dark room looking for the black cat that isnt there," combines the works of several artists all focused on creating artwork in the dark.This show runs through January, 2010.

All three shows are open on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
