This week's "Feature Friday" spotlights Stay, the funky and budget-friendly boutique hotel/hostel hybrid located in downtown LA. Opened in 2008, Stay is the creation of concept designer Catherine Coan and project designer Amy Price in conjunction with Lanting Hotel Group, Inc. Stay has 138 rooms and is unique in that it offers guests a "menu approach" to choosing the type of room and amenities that best fit their budget and lifestyle needs. Travelers can choose from private rooms with private baths (the more "hotel-like" part of hotel/hostel hybrid) or shared rooms with shared bathrooms down the hall (accounting for the "hostel-like" qualities).
