Scenic tours: Cincinnati to Madison IN ride affords great views (Photos)

Good economy or bad, an economical and enjoyable way to travel well without breaking the bank is a scenic motorcycle ride, and the Cincinnati area has plenty of them (and they can also enjoyed by those traveling on four wheels).

John Johnson, of Hamilton, Ohio, recommends a Cincinnati-Madison (IN) route of under 100 miles one way:

• Exit 275 to US 50 west, toward Lawrenceburg;
• Follow 50 to Indiana SR 56 at Aurora, go south, following the river.
• Continue straight onto Indiana SR 156 where 56 turns away from the river;
• Follow this road all the way into Madison (but paying close attention to turns in Rising Sun).

The touring rider will welcome scenic views of the Ohio River, Markland Locks and Dam, and quaint towns along the way (Vevay, Rising Sun, Madison).
