Those who ride motorcycles already know that a motorcycle can take you most any place you want including Happyland (Oklahoma). And who would not enjoy a motorcycle trip to Loveland (Colorado)?
You can also ride to Hell (Michigan) and, if you go in the winter, you might actually see Hell freeze over. Other devilish places to visit include Hellhole Palms (California), Hell Hollow (New Hampshire), and Satans Kingdom (Vermont).
Of course there are also places that have heavenly sounding names such as New Haven (Connecticut), Paradise (California), or Eden (Mississippi). Riding to Paradise just has a nice ring to it!
If naughty is more your style, there are places with very suggestive names which can provide tons of fun such as Desire (Pennsylvania), Hooker (Oklahoma), Intercourse (Pennsylvania), Climax (Georgia), and Conception (Missouri). After all that, you may need to visit Embarrass (Wisconsin).
The United States has more than its share of places associated with animals. From Chicken (Alaska) to Camel Hump (Wyoming), there is never going to be a shortage of towns with animal magnetism.
There are towns named for animals that love the water such as Alligator (Mississippi) and amphibians like Toad Suck (Arkansas). Birds are well represented with Turkey Scratch (Arkansas), Pigeon (Michigan), Quail (Texas), Cuckoo (Virginia), and Spread Eagle (Wisconsin).
There are towns with creepy animal names that might make one think twice before stopping for a picture at the town limit sign. "The essential to budget travel is to approach in front. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is always in the back of our minds. Arranging and spending our travel budget properly is a concern for most families. Curbing spending and expenses, while still enjoying your vacation to its fullest, is the key to certain achievement and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought behind saving money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal budget is extremely small, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also remembering that while traveling, whether on a budget or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel bill!..". Towns such as Deadhorse (Alaska), Worms (Nebraska), and Tick Bite (North Carolina) may not attract the same visitors that perhaps a Butterfly (Kentucky), Cat Elbow Corner (New York), or even Dragon (Mississippi).
Across the United States are towns with names so unique that they make you want to jump on your motorcycle and see Monkeys Eyebrow (Kentucky) or Bugtussle (Tennessee).
Other places to look for on motorcycle travels east of the Mississippi River are Eclectic (Alabama), Two Egg (Florida), Enigma (Georgia), Metropolis (Illinois), Gnaw Bone (Indiana), Oven Fork (Kentucky), Sandwich (Massachusetts), Gay (Michigan), Hot Coffee (Mississippi), Loveladies (New Jersey), Whynot (North Carolina), Knockemstiff (Ohio), Eighty Four (Pennsylvania), Round O (South Carolina), Nameless (Tennessee), Fries (Virginia), Looneyville (West Virginia), and Imalone (Wisconsin).
If motorcycle riding west of the Mississippi River, check out the towns of Surprise (Arizona), Romance (Arkansas), Teakettle Junction (California), Hygiene (Colorado), Gravity (Iowa), Waterproof (Louisiana), Sleepy Eye (Minnesota), Tightwad (Missouri), Hungry Horse (Montana), Colon (Nebraska), Truth or Consequences (New Mexico), Zap (North Dakota), Bowlegs (Oklahoma), Boring (Oregon), Ideal (South Dakota), Uncertain (Texas), Humptulips (Washington), and Ten Sleep (Wyoming).
So have fun with your motorcycle travels and dont forget to take some pictures of these and other towns in the United States. Also use the comment section below to share the uniquely named towns you have encountered in your travels.
