Southwest Airlines offers treat on Halloween

I really appreciate this great offer from Southwest Airlines because if there is one thing our dreary airports need, it's a sense of humor. Southwest Airlines is offering a free drink onboard to anyone who chooses to travel in costume on Halloween. In addition, their employees will also all be in costume for the day.

However, I would recommend that you consider your costume carefully before trying to get through the security line. I suspect there may be size limits on magic wands, weight limits on gummy bears and gel-like candy, and those big clown shoes are going to be a realpain to take off to go through the metal detector. Plus, those who examine your photo ID will prefer that they can still tell who you are, and I just have a feeling that wearing a mask - of any kind- in the airport will probably get you pulled aside for a special conversation.

And though it sometimes feels as if it would be just easier to travel completely naked, that won't be allowed on Halloween either.
