everyone: a beach with remnants of a shipwreck, barbecue grills, camping facilities, and myriad more great things to do. However, the best part about this underwater park is the snorkeling/scuba diving activities. If you are certified to scuba dive, the Pennekamp State Park is a beautiful, and affordable, place to go diving. It has lush aquatic life and tons of breath-taking coral reefs. But if you arent certified, dont fret theres snorkeling for those who prefer shallower waters. Scuba diving groups go out at 9:30 and 1:30 and snorkel groups go out at 9:00, noon, and 3:00. The prices are really unbeatable -- $30 (adults) for snorkeling, $60 for scuba diving and you can rent the equipment there. For those of you that dont like to get wet, you can go on the Glassbottom Boat Tour for only $24 (adults). Also, if you go to their website, you can find a coupon for all three activities. The Pennekamp State Park is right in Key Largo so you can make a day trip of it. Afterwards, I highly suggest taking advantage of the fresh seafood restaurants along the way back to the mainland (Tip: If you make reservations on the outside patio at Sundowners, you get an amazing view of the sun as it sets into the ocean. VERY romantic ;o)
