Flying to St. Barths from Los Angeles is a bit tricky, with one or two connections. United Airlines offers a Red Eye t hat goes through Washington DC St. Barts. US Airway has Red Eye flights from LA that connect through Charlotte. These flights stop in St. Maarten where you can either take a ferry or fly on a little Winair plane-- with a very hairy landing (it's a steep, butterfly inducing descent into St. Barths.
