I personally dont think its a simple coincidence that Halloween and catholic celebrations are around the same time of the year, but I didnt have time to research it further. In France, November 1st is for all the saints (Toussaint), and November 2nd is for the dead since approximately 600 a.d. In Mexico, they make a similar distinction: November 1, All Saints' Day, is devoted to los angelitos (little children), and November 2, All Souls' Day, to adults. El Dia de los Muertos dates back to pre-Columbian times.
During Los Dias de los Muertos (two days!), defuncts come back to visit families and friends on earth and families celebrate the cycle of life and fertility coming out of death. Celebrators built altars, cover them with zenpasuchitl (a type of orange marigold) and give ofrendas (photographs, bread, foods, flowers, toys, and other symbolic offerings). They also cook food like pan de muertos (bread of the dead), which is for both living and dead friends or relatives who visit.
Here are some events happening in the next few days to get immersed in a tradition that many Houstonians will be taking part in.

Last Concert Cafe - Heights 1403 Nance St. Houston, TX. The important to budget travel is to plan onward. When it happens to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved trips and/or going to see new spots we have never been before, the fact of cost and budgeting is generally in the back of our heads. Considering and expending our travel budget correctly is a priority for most families. Lowering spending and charges, while still taking pleasure in your vacation to its fullest, is the key to confirmed achievement and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought regarding protecting money while touring is simple: Even if your personal finances is incredibly tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or departing the homestead! Also thinking about that while traveling, regardless of whether on a budget or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a huge vacation or travel costs!. 77002
