It is rare to see a deal on a renowned Space Camp experience, but beginning at 12:01 a.m. on November 25, 2011, the first eight people who purchase a weeklong student Space Camp or Aviation Challenge program can get it for $499.
After these are sold, the price will be at the discount rate of $749 through 11:59 p.m. November 28, 2011. The regular price is $949.
Act quickly! No other discounts will be offered for 2012.
Space Camp was founded as the U.S. Space & Rocket Center museum education program to promote the study of math, science, and technology. Camps are available for fourth grade through high school-age students, and programs are available for the blind or visually impaired as well as for the deaf or hard of hearing.
Programs are also available for adults, including special camps for educators and corporate groups. Space Camp Family Programs are available for children as young as seven years old.
More than half a million students and adults have attended Space Camp since the program began in 1982.
Producer/director Ron Howard brought many of cast and crew here before shooting Apollo 13, including Tom Hanks, who later enrolled his son in Space Camp. Sons and daughters of astronauts often enroll. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Denzel Washington, Pierce Brosnan, Barbara Mandrell, Evander Holyfield, Don Johnson, and Melanie Griffith are among the stars who have sent their children to Space Camp.
