Budget travel week in review - Fall foliage, holiday/winter airfare, immigration

As we take a look back on this past week, we've moved from Fall to Winter as we take a last look at Fall foliage and move into holiday and winter airfares. We also close the week with a look at travel and how immigration and multiculturalism are issues facing many countries.

Monday

Fall foliage in northern California: Hope Valley, CA - With Fall colors all over the US, we take a look at the beautiful Fall colors in northern California.

Holiday airfares for Thanksgiving, Christmas up but affordable flights available - With the holidays upon us, airfares are up over this time last year. However, you might be able to find a few good deals for Christmas and get lucky with some last minute airfares for Thanksgiving.

Tuesday

Winter airfares on sale for Southwest, American, and Delta Airlines - With Winter around the corner, many airlines have airfare sales going on now for destinations all over the country through mid-February.

Wednesday

December airfares on Alaska Airlines, Winter airfare sale on United and American - More airfare sales for winter travel on Alaska, United, and American.

Friday

Travel opens doors to the world while the nations are closing theirs - While travel is a great way to experience other cultures, many countries are getting frustrated with the diversity of cultures within their borders. While travel opens doors to other people, many nations may close theirs as immigration and multiculturalism are issues many countries are facing.

As the holidays get closer, there will be a number of things to talk about in travel. Check out the articles from this past week to get a number of travel tips for the holidays including tips on saving you money at the airport and when you fly as well as general travel tips for the holidays and for traveling with kids.
