The Daughters of Hawaii will be hosting the 33rd annual Day at Queen Emma Summer Palace on Saturday, October 3rd from 9:00-5:00. The essential to budget travel is to approach in front. When it comes along to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new spots we have never been before, the truth of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our mind. Organizing and expending our travel budget properly is a main concern for most families. Reducing spending and expenses, while still experiencing your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed achievements and fiscal responsibility. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought behind economizing money while journeying is simple: Even if your personal finances is extremely tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, no matter whether on a budget or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a big vacation or travel expenses!. Queen Emma Summer Palace is located at 2913 Pali Hwy. Free parking for the event is located adjacent to the Palace, on P?iwa road, in the park. Admission for the event is $6 for adults and $1 for children, which includes entrance to the Palace and grounds.

The Wiki Wiki One Day Vintage Collectibles & Hawaiiana Show is a strictly vintage 20 years and older show and sale at the Blaisdell Center Hawaii Suites in Honolulu. Vendors are from Mainland U.S., Outer Islands and Oahu with everything from Aloha shirts, estate jewelry, dolls, furniture, asian antiques, fine glassware, Hawaiiana, coins, stamps, kitchenware, surf items and more! The two annual Wiki Wiki shows are in Spring and October. They're a 91 table show with no presales to the vendors until early entry at 9 am

The Hawaii International Film Festivals (HIFF) 29th Annual Fall Festival is on its way! HIFF has announced the 2009 festival will run from Thursday, October 15th through Sunday, October 25th at the Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18 Cinemas. HIFF is the largest "East Meets West" festival in the United States, screening hundreds of films every year from countries across the globe.

15TH ANNUAL KOMEN HAWAII RACE FOR THE CURE

5k: USATF certified course (HI-07008-TLB), flat & fast. Race starts at 7 a.m. at Kapiolani Park. Start in front of Waikiki Shell Amphitheater on Monsarrat Ave. Finish: Honolulu Marathon Finish Line on Kalakaua Ave. More than 8000 male and female runners and walkers are expected.

Here's a video of the race that took place in LA in July.
