Charlestown Navy Yard: 6 Tall Ships on display

The Charlestown Navy Yard is a bit off the beaten path compared to the Seaport World Trade Center for viewing Sail Boston's Tall Ships this week, but there are some beautiful ships on display there, and the trip to Charlestown is worth the walk, bus ride, or cab fare in a hearbeat.

The ships on display are:

Amistad-- United States
Bluenose II-- Canada
Eagle -- United States
LeEithne-- Ireland
Picton Castle -- Cook Islands
Spirit of Bermuda -- Bermuda

The easiest way, to navigate to this little nook is to take the T to North Station and walk over the Charlestown Bridge. You should see signs for the USS Constitution, and you can follow these down to the Navy Yard.

There is parking available, but it will likely be very crowded throughout the weekend. The important to budget travel is to prepare onward. When it happens to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved holidays and/or going to see new places we have never been before, the truth of expense and budgeting is often in the back of our heads.
