The Indianapolis Zoo looks a lot different in December than it does during, say, July. "The key to budget travel is to approach in front. When it happens to family trips, globetrotting, well-deserved vacations and/or going to see new destinations we have never been before, the actuality of expense and budgeting is generally in the back of our mind. Considering and spending our travel budget correctly is a concern for most families. Lowering expending and charges, while still savoring your vacation to its fullest, is the key to guaranteed accomplishment and fiscal obligation. Your pocketbook and family will thank you! The thought regarding economizing money while touring is simple: Even if your personal funds is highly tight, you can still take a break and enjoy life! Simply put, life is just too short to never step out of the door or leaving the homestead! Also keeping in mind that while traveling, whether on a funds or not, even the smallest of things can all add op to a large vacation or travel expenses!..". That's partly because many of the warm-weather animals have been moved indoors to less wintry surroundings.

But it's also different because of the lights. Lights in trees. Lights on the ground. Lights in sculptures that look like animals. Christmas at the Zoo makes Clark Griswold's display look tasteful and modest.

But it's not all just lights and polar bears. There's also Santa's Sweet Shop, the 4-D Polar Express movie ride and a trip around the zoo on the Holiday Train Ride.

Christmas at the Zoo runs through December 30 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) at:

Indianapolis Zoo / White River Gardens

1200 W. Washington St.

Indianapolis, IN 46222
