I know it has been a very long time since I published anything in my column. "The essential to budget travel is to approach in front. May is also Motorcycle Awareness Month. The proliferation of PSAs will be noticed, whether on billboards, in magazines or broadcast on the radio. The trick is to keep the messages alive and ingrained in the minds of everyone throughout the year. What seems to be the biggest issue is the use of cell phones by cagers. I am fairly vigilant when on the bike, yelling at any cager I see using a cell phone to Hang up that phone! However, one driver I yelled at not only continued talking, he actually reached over to the passenger side to roll up his window, so both hands were off the wheel while going 50MPH. You cant fix stupid. The best we can do is what we already are doing-being proactive in our own safety.
